Abstract
The bionomics of Gampocleis ussuriensis Adelung in the laboratory and field were observed. It has one generation per year in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province and overwinters as eggs in soil. The nymph has 7 instars, the 1st instar stage was 13~29 days, 2nd instar 8~20 days, 3rd instar 7~13 days, 4th and 5th instars each 6~9 days, 6th instar 5~15 days, and 7th instar 12~13 days. The period of the adult emergence was from the last ten days of June to the middle ten days of August. The oviposite period of the female adult was from the first ten days of July to the last ten days of September. The average longevity of the adults was 81.25 days.
