EPON MIB Design and Implementation

Abstract

Ethernet passive optical network has been hot in access network technology in recent years.Network management is essential to improve the interconnection ability between EPON devices and provide EPON system with carrier-class capability.From the view of network management,this paper propose a design of management information base(MIB) in EPON system.We develop the agent on linux system,thus we realize the management of EPON system through simple network management protocol(SNMP).
