Abstract

Objective To investigate the distribution and drug resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa separated in hospital, and to provide doctors with the laboratory evidence of guiding antibiotic therapy. Methods Bacterial idenntifacation and antibiotics susceptibility tests of isolates between July 2008 and June 2009 were performed by Vitek2 compact. Results 381 strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were isolated. The antimicrobial resistant rate of Pseudomonas aeruginos to amikacin was lowest(4.5%).The antibacterial activity of gentamicin, tobramycin, cefepime, piperacillin /tazobactam to Pseudomonas aeruginosa was better. Conclusion The resistant rate of Pseudomonas aeruginosa is increasing year by year. Therefore, monitoring bacterial drug resistance is very important for the rational use of antibiotics and slowing the development of multi-drug bacteria.
