Abstract

The maize seedlings were treated by different concentrations of Vitamin C under drought stress in this experiment.Some ecological and physiological characters were measured after treatment.The results showed that there was a significant influence on those characters after treatment.The root length,fresh weight,dry weight and content water were increased by 17.67%,21.98%,17.33%and 22.23%,respectively after 80 mg/L treatment.Meanwhile,the root system vigor,the activities of SOD and POD were increased by 25.47%,53.60%and 19.37%,respectively.
