Analysis of Health Service Demand and Utilization of the New Rural Cooperative Medical Residents in Western Rural China

Abstract

Objective: To explore resident's health service demand and utilization under the new rural cooperative medical system in western rural China.Methods: Stratified cluster random sampling method was adopted to extract samples.After double-entry the questionnaire data,use the Stata10.0 software to clean and analysis data.Results: Compared with the fourth health service research,the health service demand and utilization of sample area residents has been improved.However,there are still some problems.Conclusion:Ways to further develop the new rural cooperative medical system are to strengthen and improve the funding level of government investment,adjust and improve the compensation rate,triage patients,improve the basic health facilities level of service and quality.
