Abstract

Objective To observe the curative effect of acupuncture on cervical vertigo.Method 120 patients with cervical vertigo were divided into two groups at random. One was acupuncture group and the other as a control group.Acupuncture group was given acupuncture treatment one time a day, seven days a course of treatment, two treatment. The control group were taken intravenous drip treatment with Shuxuening 20 mL a day for fourteen days. The curative effects and the recurrence rates between the two group were compared. Results Cure rate in the acupuncture group was 66.67% and in the control group was 36.67%,the difference was statistically significant(P0.01);The total effective rates were 95.00% vs 88.33%,The recurrence rates were 9.09% vs 22.92%,the differences weren't scastically significant(P0.05).Conclusion The short-term and long-term curative effect on the acupuncture group is superior to the control group.
