Abstract

Objective To determine organochlorine compounds in lake water by gas chromatography(GC) with electron capture detector (ECD). The organochlorine compounds in lake water was determined by using sol-gel polymethylphenylvinylsiloxane (PMPVS) coated fiber,headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME). Methods And compared the sol-gel PMPVS fiber with the commercial import polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) fiber. Results Limits of detection (LOD) of the method were below 35.3ng/L and relative standard deviations (RSD) were not higher than 11.8%(n=3); linearity regression coefficients(R) were less than 0.990; recoveries ranged from 71.5 to 115.5%. Conclusion The sensitivity of sol-gel PMPVS fiber is higher than the import polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) fiber for determination of organochlorine compounds. The method is sensitive and uncomplicated and it can be applied to the monitoring of trace amount of organochlorine compounds residual in water.
