Use of Psychotropic Substances of Category II in Outpatients of Our Hospital

Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To probe into the use of psychotropic substances of category Ⅱ in outpatients of our hospital during 2009 so as to provide guidance for rational use of psychotropic substances and promote rational drug use.METHODS:3 841 outpatient prescriptions of psychotropic substances of category Ⅱ from Jan.to Dec.in 2009 were collected in our hospital for statistical analysis with defined daily dose(DDD) recommended by WHO taken as research unit and the drug utilization index(DUI) taken as index.RESULTS:Among the 8 kinds of psychotropic substances of category Ⅱ used,DUI1.00 in 7 kind and DUI1.00 in 1 kind were noted.CONCLUSION:The outpatient use of the psychotropic substances of category Ⅱ in our hospital was basically rational.
