Cultural Exploration on Urban-planning in Shang Dynasty

Abstract

Shang Dynasty was an important period for the formation of urban-planning thought.Based on comprehensive research on all Shang Dynasty cities in Henan Province,it can be concluded that Shang Dynasty people had a clear plan about human-land relation,city functions,social relations,and so on.These imprtant ideas constitute not only one part of traditional architecture thought but also one part of traditional culture in China.
