Abstract
The service-oriented government is a new mode of administration which is based on the market economy.The idea was proposed to counteract the traditional control-oriented government and is a realistic reflection of humanism.It involves the content of both the instrumental and value rationality.It has become a current to construct a service-oriented government in the administrative reform in the information society.Chinese government,in the period of reform,should take measures more actively to realize the transformation.
