Analysis of the Development of Frontier Region Towns of Yunnan in Qing Dynasty

The period of Qing was the development peak of Yunnan frontier regions, and also was the outset of urbanization. The reason was that the Qing Dynasty government had strengthened the control to Yunnan along with the population growth, agricultural development and mineral resources exploration. However, the towns were very backward, because of the early stage of developing and congenital deficiencies, which restricted the developing of urbanization in a long time.
