Abstract
In this paper, the colour reaction of CPC with 4,4′-Di(2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl-diazoamino)biphenyl(CNDADP) has been studied. The results show that in the medium of pH10.6,CNDADP reacts with CPC to form a purple-red ion pair complex with the molar ratio of 1:2.The ion pair complex exhibits maximum absorption at 570nm with a molar absorptivity of 2.16×104L·mol-1·cm-1,and Beer's law is obeyed in the range of 0~3.0×10-5 mol/L.The method has been applied to the determination of micro CPC in water samples with satisfactory results.
