Abstract
Objective To quantitatively analyze the whole-organ perfusion parameters of pancreas using 64-slice volume CT according to disease duration, and to observe the value of perfusion technology in pancreatic microcirculations in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods Totally 54 patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into 3 groups according to disease duration,i.e.Group A,13 patients with duration 1—5 years,Group B,16 patients with duration 6—10 years, and Group C,25 patients with duration longer than10 years, and all the patients underwent pancreatic CT perfusion imaging. The mean blood flow(BF),blood volume(BV),mean transit time(MTT),time to peak(TTP),permeability surface area product(PS) and the size in each location(head, neck, body and tail) were measured and statistically analyzed. Results ①The perfusion parameters of patients in the same group showed no statistical difference among different locations of pancreas(all P0.05).②There were statistical differences between Group A and B,Group A and C in MTT at the head and body of pancreas(all P0.05).Statistical differences were noted between Group A and B in BF,MTT and PS at the neck of pancreas(all P0.05).③There were statistical differences of sizes of pancreatic body and tail between Group A and C(all P0.05),as well as sizes of tail of pancreas between Group B and C(all P0.05).Conclusion Whole-organ CT perfusion parameters of pancreas conduce to the evaluation of pancreatic microcirculatory changes in patients with type 2 diabetes.
