The study of the diagnostic value of 64 slice volume CT urography(VCTU) in ureteral diseases

Objective:To discuss the diagnostic value of 64 slice volume CT urography(VCTU) in ureteral diseases.Methods:In 30 cases of urinary diseases.64 slice volume CT plain scan,renal dual phase enhanced scan and delayed urinary scan were performed.And in workstations for image post-processing was done.Results:39 cases of ureteral diseases diagnosed by CT scan,15 cases of ureteral calculus,5 cases of urinary tumors,4 cases of Stricture of ureteropelvic transitional,1 case of posterior ureter of vena cava,2 cases of duplex renal pelvis and ureter,1 cases of megaureter,2 cases of ureterocele,Ureteral lesions abuse or external pressure outside the lesions in 4 cases(ovarian tumor),5 cases of ureteral infectious lesions were diagnosed,and all were confirmed by surgical and pathological findings.The coincidence rate of CT scan and clinical diagnosis was 100%.Conclusion:64 slice volume CT scan and VCTU Post-processing images can clearly show the relationship between ureter and with the surrounding structures.It will be an excellent imaging method in diagnose ureteral disease.
