Abstract

MapGIS is a high-performance large-scale intelligent software systems which sets the most advanced graphics,images,geology,geography,remote sensing,mapping,artificial intelligence and computer science to one.It is applied widely in the work of overall land use planning,the function is formidable.Taking the compilation of overall land use planning map in Guangning County of Guangdong Province as an example,from aspects of material preparation,graph input,graphic edition,attribute edition and graphical output,this paper introduced the technology and the method of the compilation of overall land use planning map using the MapGIS software in detail.
