Teacher Education on Basis of Humanity Education

The essence of education should be producing upright persons, and the function of humanity education is just to convert natural man into social man. Teacher education is to cultivate teachers, and to cultivate teachers to realize the ultimate target of education-to teach people how to be upright persons. To do this, the teacher must firstly be an upright person, who relies on humanity education. Humanity education directly relates to human dignity, self examination, self-concern. It enables people to understand themselves, the human world, their motherland, the world, and their responsibility to the society so that each person may go beyond ones individual interest in developing civic responsibility and social responsibility. It also enables the raising of peoples taste and intellectual culture, purifies peoples sentiment beyond material world to be higher in position and viewpoint. Ultimately the moral consciousness of human society will be benefited and the development of social civic virtue will be promoted.
