Abstract
Natural zeolite is modified by NaCl solution and the effects of NaCl concentration on modification is studied. In addition, the adsorption characteristics of the natural and NaCl modified zeolite on NH+ 4 in solution are compared through isothermal adsorption experiment and adsorption kinetics experiment. The results show that w hen the NaCl concentration is 6%,the obtained zeolite presents better ammonia adsorption property.Equilibrium adsorption of the NaCl modified zeolite for NH+ 4 are found to fit the Langmuir adsorption isotherm better than Freundlich adsorption isotherm. The process of ammonium adsorption of the NaCl modified zeolite accords w ith second order kinetics.
