Abstract
The ideology of Zheng Yu went through three process,Before the age of 22,he learnt Zhu's Neo- Confucianism in his hometown,Huizhou; Aged 22 to 27,he learnt Lu's theory in Chunan, after the age of 27,he returned to Huizhou and relearnt then believed in Zhu's theory. From then on,Zheng tried to stop the conflict between factions who believed in Zhu and Lu,and united them. But Zheng's endeavor was no practical effect, because he only wanted to stop the slander and argument, however,he did not find and point out the way to compromise. Against all expectations, what Zheng has done made he in an awkward position,in the biography materials and books written by the scholars after him,Zheng's life and ideology were concealed, revised and neglected on purpose.
