Abstract
Difurfuralpenlpentaerythritol was efficiently synthesized from furaldehyde and pentaerythritol under microwave irradiation and solvent-free conditions with potassium bisulfate as catalyst. The effect of microwave irradiation time, microwave irradiation power, molar ratio, and catalyst amount on the yield of difurfuralpenlpentaerythritol was investigated. The results showed that the optimum reaction conditions were as followed: microwave irradiation power was 465 W,radiation time was 5 min, furaldehyde 30 mmol, pentaerythritol 15 mmol, potassium bisulfate 0.3 mmol, the yield was up to 88.6%.
