Assessment and Determination of Imidacloprid Residues in Honey Peach

Abstract

The study was to provide scientific data for imidacloprid application in peach.[Methods] Imidacloprid residues in honey peach was analyzed by matrix solid-phase dispersion and liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry(LC/MS/MS),the recovery rate was 93.7-104.1% and limit of detection(LOD) was 0.01 mg/kg.[Results] The degradation of imidacloprid residues in honey peach fruits followed first-order kinetic process.The degradation half-life for imidacloprid in peach fruits were 1.81-2.39 d.And 10 days after spray,the residue level was less then the LOD.[Conclusions] When imidacloprid was sprayed at most 2 times in a season at application rate of no more than 0.067 g a.i./L and the pre-harvest interval(PHI) was 3 days,the acute and chronic dietary RQs were far below ARfD or ADI.The imidacloprid maximum residue levels(MRLs) of 0.5 mg/kg in honey peach were recommended.
