Study on changs of vascular endothelial cell growth factor in serum with hung carcinoma patients before and after radiotherapy

Objective To study the level of vascular endothelial cell growth factor in serum of lung carcinoma patients before and after radiotherapy. Methods Serum VEGF of 40 patients with lung carcinoma and control groups were analyzed with ELISA method. Results The level of serum VEGF elevated significantly before radiotherapy in lung carcinoma patients group compared with the control. The level of VEGF of Ⅲ stage of patients were higher thanⅠⅡ stage's.but the histopathologic type were not. And the level delined in 2 week and 1 month after radiotherapy. The level of VEGF elevated significantly before and after radiotherapy in inefficienty(NR+PD) group compared with the overall immediate response rate(CR+PR), it was descended after radiotherapy, but the NR+PD group was still high level tate. Conclusion In the neartime it was curative effect for lower level of VEGF. High level state of the level of VEGF could relapse or metastasis, and it was bad curative effect in the neartime.To detect the level of serum VEGF changes in patients with lung carcinoma can help to determine the clinical stages,monitor the clinical course,curative effect and prognosis.
