Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of ischemic postcondition on left ventricular remodeling in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods A total of 105 patients with AMI were enrolled,54 AMI patients received ischemic postconditioning(PC) group and 51 patients with non-ischemic postconditioning(NPC) group. The indices of left ventricular remodeling including left ventricular end diastolic volume index, left ventricular end systolic volume index, and left ventricular ejection fraction were measured by ultrasonic cardiogram on 24 h,1 week,1 month and 3 months after AMI onset. Results At 1 month and 3 months after PCI,the parameters of cardiac performance were decreased significantly and left ventricular ejection fraction improved in PC group compared with those in NPC group.Left ventricular end diastolic volume index(63.5±6.5) ml/m2 vs(67.2±6.3) ml/m2,left ventricular end systolic volume index(30.3±3.6) ml/m2 vs(34.3±4.1) ml/m2 and left ventricular ejection fraction(0.53±0.02) % vs(0.50±0.03) %,were significantly different between PC and NPC groups at 3 months after PCI.Conclusion PC can attenuate left ventricular remodeling.
