Comparison between modern rhetoric and western classical rhetoric

To improve the understanding of rhetoric,this thesis compares the similarities and differences of the modern rhetoric with classical rhetoric from the following three aspects:language function,methodology and information function.By comparison,it is drawn that modern rhetoric is the inheritance and development of western classical rhetoric,at the same time,modern rhetoric embodies the inheritance and supplement;challenge and negation of the western classical rhetoric.
