Comparative efficacy of two different surgical treatment on nodular goiter of the short-term

Objective To observe the short-term results of two different surgical treatment on nodular goiter.Methods A retrospective analysis from 2005 January to 2011 January were diagnosed as nodular goiter parallel 200 patients subtotal thyroidectomy,which from 2005 January to 2008 January thyroid were epidural subtotal resection operation in 100 cases(outside the capsule Group),from 2009 January to 2011 January were membrane thyroid subtotal resection operation in 100 cases(membrane subtotal thyroid resection Group),compare two groups of patients with complications within one week after the situation.Results The membrane subtotal thyroid resection group of patients postoperative hoarseness,bucking and tetany,the total complication rate was significantly lower than by outside the capsule group(P 0.05).Two groups of the single complication rate had no significant difference(P 0.05).Conclusion The membrane subtotal thyroid resection is the preferred surgical treatment of nodular goiter.
