Abstract

OBJECTIVE To explore thee clinical effects of laparoscopic surgery for children with indirect inguinal hernia, in order to provide theoretical basis for the treatment. METHODS laparoscopic treatment of inguinal hernia in children with 50 cases for the observation group, combined with conventional high ligation of hernial sac in 50 cases as control group, in our hospital from January 2008 to January 2012. Compared operation time, bleeding volume, postoperative ambulation, postoperative hospital stay, incision hematoma, wound pain, foreign body sensation at incision, urinary retention in two groups. RESULTS The patients operation time, bleeding volume, postoperative ambulation, duration of postoperative pain and hospital stay were lower in the observation group than in the control group, the difference was significant (P﹤0.05). The infection of incisional wound, wound hematoma, wound pain, foreign body sensation of incision, urinary retention, recurrence showed no statistically significant difference in the proportion (P﹥0.05). CONCLUSION Compared with the traditional operation method, laparoscopic treatment for inguinal hernia has obvious advantages in operation time , intraoperative blood loss, duration of postoperative pain and postoperative hospitalization time , it is worthy of clinical application.
