Abstract
Objective: To investigate the level changes of T lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood in patients with acute asthma attacks and their relationship with pulmonary function. Methods: Levels of T lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood in 34 patients with acute asthma attacks and 21 healthy subjects were measured by flow cytometry. Pulmonary function was measured in 24 patients with acute asthma attacks. Results: The level of CD + 4T in patients with acute asthma attacks was significantly higher than that in normal subjects (P0.05). The level of CD + 8T was significantly lower than that in normal subjects (P0.01); CD + 4/CD + 8 was also significantly higher than that in normal subjects (P0.01). There was no significant difference in the level of CD3+t between patients with acute asthma attacks and healthy subjects (P0.05). The levels of FVC and CD + 3T were negatively related (r=-0.485, P0.05). The levels of FVC and CD + 4T were negatively related (r=-0.417,P0.05).Conclusion: The level changes of T lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood play an important role in patients with acute asthma attacks, T lymphocyte subsets and pulmonary function were negatively related in some degree.
