Legal Transplants in the Modern History of Japan

At the beginning of Meiji Reform,the great changes in Japanese society and the backward legal status urged Japanese government into transplanting the developed law system of western countries. The legal transplant was comprehensive and from multiple sources,which put stress on localization. The modernization of legal system was set up in Japan after the legal transplant,which improved the development of Japanese society. In today’s judicial reform in China,legal transplant is always involved during the progress of systems in the legal field,which can also enjoy good experience from the legal transplant in the modern history of Japan.
