Abstract
Objective To study the clinical effects and safety of paroxetine combined with quetiapine in treatment of somatoform disorders.Methods56 patients were assigned to paroxetine(control group,n=30)and paroxetine combined with quetiapine(study group,n=26),and treated for 8 weeks. Before treatment and at the ends of the 2nd and 8th week after treatment, the clinical effects and side effects were assessed with SCL-90,HAMD,TESS.ResultsThe score of SCL-90 and HAMD after the treatment of the study group and control group were lower than before treatment, which had a significant difference(P0.01).At the end of 8th week, effective rates of the study group and control group were respectively 80% and 53.8%,which had a significant difference(P0.05).There was difference in the effective time of drugs of the two groups(P0.02).Side effects of both the two groups were milder, most occurred in the initial stage of treatment and gradually remitted via expectant treatment.ConclusionParoxetine combined with quetiapine in treatment of somatoform disorders takes effects better and faster than single paroxetine and doesn't increase side effects.
