A Kinematical Analysis on Stepping Technique of Elite Male Triple Jumpers in China

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore the reasons for the backwardness of the step technique for China's male triple jump athletes.By using the method of on-spot shooting,etc.,the relative data and indicators of some Chinese elite male triple jumpers are recorded and compared with that of international elite triple jumpers.The indicators include the speed changes of step,the landing angle,the take-off angle,center of gravity flight angle,swinging leg of the swing and the buffer of the support leg.The results show that the Chinese jumpers tend to suffer a great loss of horizontal speed in the step jump process;they have a slower vertical speed in take-off and too big buffer in the knee of the support leg in stepping;there is not enough back swing of the swinging leg and inadequate front swing,and their landing angel is small with too great braking force.Based on the above analysis and research,it is proposed that training of the special speed quality and special bouncing rate of athletes should be strengthened and control of the landing location,the supporting ability of the supporting leg and the flexibility of muscle capacity be emphasized.
