Abstract

To explore clinical significance of changes of serum tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α) and iterleukin-8(IL-8) levels in patients with liver cirrhosis,forty-six patients with liver cirrhosis were classified into A,B and C group with Child-Pugh grades based on the liver dysfunction, and 30 normal people as control group. The serum TNF-α and IL-8 levels in each group were detected by RIA.The serum levels of TBiL,ALT,ALB,HA,LN and PCIII were also detected. The results showed that the serum TNF-α and IL-8 levels in patients with liver cirrhosis were significantly higher than that of control group(P0.01).The serum TNF-α and IL-8 levels in patients with liver cirrhosis were increased as the changes of Child Pugh Score with the sequence of CBA(P0.01).The results indicate that the serum TNF-α and IL-8 levels in patients with liver cirrhosis might be regarded as an important index to reflect the degree of liver dysfunction.
