Study on the Growth and Development Index of Children Aged 3～6 in Shandong Province

【Objective】To learn the growth and development condition of children in 17 cities in Shandong province.【Methods】The 14000 children in Shandong province were tested physically,among them,Boeggering index,Ververck index,height/sitting height index,Quetelet index,body mass index and BMI index were selected to evaluate the growth and development condition of Children in the city and in the countryside.【Result】The trend of the Bogalin and height/sitting height indexes of those children is to be declining with the lapse of age,the trend of the Quetelet and body mass indexes of those children is to be rising with the lapse of age,The trend of the Ververck and BMI indexes of those girl children is to be declining with the lapse of age,but the trend of the Ververck and BMI indexes of those boy children didn't Change with the lapse of age.【Conclusion】The thoracic growth and the nutrition situation of children in the city were superior to the children in the countryside.At the same time,the body type of city and countryside were different,the trunk length of children in the countryside were higher to the children in the city,but the lower limb length of children in the city were higher to the children in the countryside.
