Abstract

Objective: To summarize the regulations of prescription and medicine from famous physicians on treating Alzheimer's disease in order to guide clinical practices.Methods: To collect and systemize 33 prescriptions of this kind treating from 29 excellent TCM physicians and analysis on its discipline.Results: In 33 prescriptions,137 tastes Chinese medicines were used and the total frequency was 484 times.Among them,tonifying deficiency medicine was the most,the second was promoting blood and removing stasis medicine.Most of medicine acts on the heart,liver and kidney channels.The four nature were most warm,tender and cold.Sweet,bitter and spicy were the dominant flaours.Conclusion: Root deficiency and manifestation excess was the dominant mechanism of this disease.Root deficiency was that all qi,blood,Yin and Yang were weak.The maifestation excess mainly were the blood stasis and turbid-phlegm.The basic principles on treating this disease were regulating qi,blood,Yin,Yang,promoting blood circulation and removing stasis.
