Clinical observation of metoprolol treatment for the congestive heart failure in 30 cases

Objective To study the application of metoprolol to the chronic congestive haert faulure.Methods 62 patients with chronic congestive heart failure were randomly divided into two groups.Control group adopted the routine treatment such as cardiotonic,diuretic,vessel dilator,and the study group added with metoprolol treatment.Then improvement of cardiac function,alteration of hart rate and blood pressure were observed.Results The total effective rate was different in metoprolol group(93.3%) and in control group(75%)(χ 2=4.13,P0.05),and other clinical indicators were improved.Conclusion Metoprolol can improve heart faction and is an ideal medicine to patients with CHF.
