Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of CT-guiding percutaneous radiofrequency ablation in treatment of liver tumor. Methods:A cooled-tip electrode of Radoionics and 20G needle was placed into target lesion with injecting 5~10ml sodium chloride under CT-guidance in 28 cases with liver tumor, and patients were followed up from 6 to 36 months and the result was evaluated by applying plain and double-phase spiral CT scanning.Results:32 lesions of 28 cases were treated,20 cases were hepatic cancer and 8 cases were metastasis tumor.Tumor diameter of 26 nodules were ≤3cm,6 nodules were 3~5cm.25 nodules were conformed complete necrosis after treatment,7 nodules were partial necrosis.6-month and 12 month survival rates were 100% and 71.4%,3 years survival 1 case, the other case would be follow up.Conclusion:CT-guiding percutaneous radiofrequency ablation in treatment of liver tumor which proved to be a safe and effective technique,it is more effective for patient with small hepartic tumor(≤3cm).
