Abstract
The combustion optimization for a type of 220t/h boiler after retrofit by using horizontal bias combustion (HBC) technology is discussed in this paper, together with some relevant modification measures of solving the existing problems in boiler operation. The boiler is able to run stably at 50% of fun bad without oil support after burners were retrofitted and there is no slagging problem in the furnace. The paper is of a good reference to the operation and retrofit of other boilers burning pulverized bituminous coal
