The Textual Criticism of Liu Zhi's Indentity in the Poem“Five Poems for Liu Zhi”Written by Li Shangyin

Five Poems for Liu Zhiwritten by Li Shangyin represented a love without result between Li and Liu Zhi,which described a young girl with an extraordinary ability of music and poetry artistic. In consideration that ancients had always usedLiu for geisha,and through textual research on relevent literature,we find that the atmosphere of literator's dissoluteness was extremely popular in Tang dynasty,and Li Shangyin who had usedLiu Zhifor geisha in his poems was closely associated with geisha. According to the investigation result of various kinds of literature,we can know that Liu Zhi in the poemFive Poems for Liu Zhiis actually a versatile geisha in Tang dynasty.
