Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of paroxetine addition cognitive psychological therapy on the patients with postpartum depression. Methods A total of 120 patients with postpartum depression were randomly divided to study group(treated by paroxetine addition cognitive psychological therapy)and control group(treated by paroxetine)for 8 weeks. The Hamilton depressive scale(HAMD)and treatment emergent side effect scale(TESS)were used to evaluate the efficacy and adverse effects respectively. Results After 4 weeks of treatment, the rates of patients that showed significant efficacy and efficacy in the study group was significantly higher than those in the control group(P0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment, the efficacy in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P0.05),but the efficacy rate was not significantly different between the two groups(P0.05).After treatment, the scores of HAMD significantly decreased in both groups(P0.05),but there was more obvious in the study group(P0.05).The TESS scores was not significant difference in two groups after treatment. Conclusions From the Aspect of early rehabilitation, cognitive psychological therapy combining with paroxetine is much more effective than paroxetine alone in treatment of the patients with postpartum depression.
