Researches on the Bottleneck Problem in State Loan for Higher Education and Some Countermeasures

Abstract

With the cost-share and student financial aid policy carried out prevalently in China, student loan has become the focus of our society as the most important form of this policy. However, the current situation of the State Loan has not been ideal yet since 1997 when China tried out the State Loan of Higher Education. This paper analyzes the characteristics of the State Loan, then discusses the reason and the “bottleneck problem that restrict its development. In the end, it gives some countermeasures to solve these problems.
