Cast post-and-core crown for restoration of serious dental defect

To evaluate the clinical effect on cast post-and-core crown for restoration of serious dental defect.93 patients with 113 teeth of serious defect were involved.After complete root canal and periodontal therapy, the tooth was treated with post-and-core crown one week later if no symptoms. Then the tooth was observed for at least two years systematically.The result was that post-and-core crown benefited the tooth of serious defect with good function.
