Construction of a Modern University System to Empower the Nation through Higher Education

In order to empower the nation through higher education,it is necessary to construct a pluralistic system of higher education and bring its functions into full play by complying with the rules of education as well as the actual situation of China.At present,there are quite a few problems such as a widespread falling quality of education,ineffective management of higher education,and a lack of uniqueness in our higher education system.A modern university system should be established that will integrate the general functions and unique nature of China's universities,incorporate the academic logic and social logic,and emphasize scientific management of higher education.
