Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of Bu Xu Hua Yu Fang (BXHYF) on immune suppression of carcinomatous mice after chemotherapy. METHODS: The mice that were inoculated and feeded with BXHYF were devided into two dose groups:high dose group and low dose guoup. Meanwhile three control groups (normal group, carcinoma group and chemotherapy group) were included. CTX and Ara-c (both 150 mg/kg) were peritioneally injected into carcinomatous mice of high dose group, low dose group and chemotherapy group on the sixth and seventh day of being inoculated respectively. The influence of BXHYF on T cell subgroups of peripheral blood was observed by the flow cytometor analysis system. RESULTS:Chemotherapy markedly decreased CD + 4CD - 8 cell group and CD + 4/CD + 8 ratio, while CD - 4CD + 8 cell group increased obviously.High dose of BXHYF increased CD + 4CD - 8 cell group and adjusted CD + 4/CD + 8 ratio,P0.01.CONCLUSION: BXHYF can protect carcinomatous mice against immune suppression by CTX and Ara-c.
