Abstract
Image of the Opposite-oriented or Writing from the opposite is to express the author's feeling from the reader's angle. It originated from Shi Jing(Classic of Poetry). In Tang Dynasty the poetry composing skill was nearly perfect, and many poets used it deliberately and expertly, esp.in parting and yearning poems. This writing technique has a characteristic of an intertexture of both real image and virtual image,a form of putting them in right positions. It can not only express what is difficult to express in detail exquisitely and state the endless love, but also make the works rich in mingled layers and variable in artistic conception,at the same time this composing technique in Tang Poetry has a positive and far-reaching influence on the following generation. This paper tries to make a conclusion on it and reveal its beauty principle.
