Effect of flurbiprofen axetil with fentanyl for postoperative female patient controlled analgesia

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of flurbiprofen axetil combining with fentanyl for postoperative female patient controlled intravenous analgesia(PCIA). Methods Sixty female patients(ASA class Ⅰ or Ⅱ) underwgone selective surgery were randomly divided into two groups equally with 30 cases eath.Group A was given fentanyl 1 mg plus ramosetron 0.6 mg diluted to 100 mL via PCIA after surgery.Group B was given fentanyl 0.5 mg,and flurbiprofen axetil 100 mg plus ramosetron 0.6 mg diluted to 100 mL via PCIA after surgery.Analgesia and sedation grade were accessed,and side effects were recorded. Results There was no significant difference in analgesia and sedation grade between the two groups(P0.05).The side effects were lower in group B than those in group A(P0.05). Conclusion Co-administration of flurbiprofen axetil with fentanyl by PCIA offers overall favorable analgesic response.
