Operative treatment for 54 cases of fracture of tibial plateau

Objective: To investigate treatment technique for displaced fractures of the tibial plateau by surgery.Methods: According to Schatzker classification,typeⅠ7cases、 typeⅡ13cases、typeⅢ9cases、 typeⅣ 8cases、typeⅤ11cases、 typeⅥ6cases,Treating different types of tibial plateal fractures adopt different operative methods.Results: 49cases were followed up ranging from 6～36 months, with an average of 16 months. The excellent and good rate was 85.7% on Merchant grading system.Conclusion: Tibia plateau fractures should be treated surgically,the operation varied with the fractures types.
