Abstract

Objective:To explore the relationship between anxiety,depression and perceived social support of senior high school students.Methods: Mental health measurements were conducted in 562 senior high school students with the self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS),and the perceived social support scale(PSSS).Results: Among the 562 senior high school students,226(41.6%) students had anxious symptoms and 356(65.6%) had depressive symptoms,there were very significantly negative association between the perceived social support,anxiety status and depression index,the score of in-family perceived social support of the girls was higher than the boys,the scores of the SAS and SDS of the high perceived social support group were very significantly lower than that of the low perceived social support group.Conclusion: Senior high school students are easy to occur anxiety and depression emotions,perceived social support can adjust their unhealthy emotions.
