Abstract

The discipline building of anthropology in the mainland of China has reflected a multi-path situation since the recovering of discipline building in the early 1980s.On the one hand,ethnology has gradually developed into an independent academic branch which focuses on the study of Minzu;on the other hand,two approaches have been practiced during the building of anthropology: to be an independent Broad Anthropology,and to be social and cultural anthropology which is closely related to sociology.
