Abstract

By use of user subroutines,the MSC.Marc soft is further developed,and the seepage field of soil slope is analyzed with the active and inactive element technique and the method of adjusting the permeability coefficient at Gauss points in transitional elements.The seepage force,instead of the pore-pressure around soil element,is analyzed with the water head at each node of the seepage field.Finally,the stability of soil slope under seepage is studied with the strength reduction finite element method.An example calculation indicates that the approach in this paper is feasible in practice.
