The Independent Enrollment Reform in Institutions of Higher Learning:Effects,Problems and Suggestions

In the past eleven years of the reform,Independent recruitment has been made several achievements in the areas of transforming the ideas of selecting the talents,improving the comprehensive quality of students,promoting the reform of personnel training,guiding the basic educational reform,promoting the implementation of quality education and etc.However,it also encountered dilemma such as lacking the autonomous rights in selecting the talents,unfair for rural students participating the competition,high cost and low efficiency in the input of high schools,lacking effective supervision in admitting examination and so on.Independent enrollment reform in the future should implement the autonomy of choosing the students,serve the grassroots students,promote education fairness,build a multiple admission standards,explore high level college entrance exam,make sure the enrollment administrative legal system.
