Abstract
A new spectrophotometric method for the determination of zinc in tea by using Zn2+-SCN——RhB-PVA highly sensitive chromogenic reaction system was studied. The results show that the strongest absorption peak of ion complex is at 605 nm and the molar absorption coefficient is 1.59×106L mol-1 cm-1.When the zinc concentration is in the range of 0.0~0.04 μg/mL,which accords with lambert beer's law.Favorable results can be achieved with this method.
