Abstract
Objective To analyze and evaluate the status of health personnel training,and to explore the efficacious method and strategy,which are suitable for China ' s national situation,on community health professional training.Methods Tianjin,Wuhan and Xi'an were chosen as the sample cities for baseline survey,and then questionnaire and in-depth interview were conducted to comprehensively analyze the conditions of he organization management,model,contents,materials,credit hours,teachers,and effects of community health professional training in the three cities from 2005 to 2010.Results The numbers of doctors,nursing personnel,pharmacists and others were 597(49.0%),469(38.5%),153(12.5%),respectively.Of which the middle or young persons aged 25-44 accounted for 65.1%(793 /1 219),the persons with college or secondary technical school backgrounds accounted for 67.6%(824 /1 219),the persons with titles of associate professor or professor accounted for 4.6%(56 /1 219) only.The main reasons for the staff to accept training were that they want to learn new knowledge and master new skills(1 035 /1 219,84.9%).There were significant differences among the three sample cities in material,credit hours,location,model,and fees of training(P 0.05).Conclusion There are problems of lower education background and lower professional title in the three cities.The main reasons for the staff to accept training in the three cities are to learn new knowledge and master new skills.However,there are differences in evaluation of training project,contents,model,etc.
